The voice of SpongeBob is by Tom Kenny who originally used that voice for a female alligator in the show entitled Rocko's Modern Life. He has big blue eyes, a pointy nose, two front buck teeth that are very prominent, and a lot of holes over his body- somehow making him look like cheese. He is a sea sponge that looks like a kitchen sponge. SpongeBob made his first appearance on in the pilot episode entitled 'Help Wanted'. He thought that a squeaky clean kitchen sponge is appropriate for the concept.
